Radak: It was when his master (Potifar) incarcerated him.

3)

What is the meaning of "Barzel Ba'ah Nafsho"?

1.

Rashi (from Bereishis Rabah 87:10): There was an [iron] spit under Yosef's beard, so if he would bend his head, it would wound him.
