Why is it written Raglav, and we pronounce it Raglo?
Radak: The Kesiv teaches that both legs were fettered. The pronunciation discusses the Klal.
When were Yosef's legs fettered?
Radak: It was when his master (Potifar) incarcerated him.
What is the meaning of "Barzel Ba'ah Nafsho"?
Rashi (from Bereishis Rabah 87:10): There was an [iron] spit under Yosef's beard, so if he would bend his head, it would wound him.
Radak: He was in iron chains. The Nefesh is afflicted through affliction of the body. Similarly, "b'Go'al Nafshecha" (Yechezkel 16:5) is 'your body'.
Malbim: His master was able to put Kevel (a signet of slavery) on him, because he was a slave. He put iron on him due to blaming him in the episode of Eshes Potifar.
