What do we learn from "Harim Ra'ashu Mimenu"?

1.

Rashi: The kings and officers from the Kasdim will fear from His decree.

2.

Radak: Even the mountains, which are pillars in Yesod he'Afar, they shook from Him. When He wants, they shake and fall, when there is an earthquake. All is like He desires.

3.

Malbim: Hashem descends to destroy the land. When He reaches the tops of the tall mountains, Hei close to the land; Yesod he'Afar will destroy. The mountains will quake, and it will spread to the hills; the latter will melt.

What is "Hismogagu"?

1.

Radak: They melted.

3)

What is the meaning of "va'Tisa ha'Aretz [mi'Panav]"?

1.

Rashi: It will raise smoke.

2.

Radak: It will be burned. This is like "va'Yisa'em David va'Anashav" (Shmuel II, 5:21), just here it is Po'el Omed (the action applies only to the subject). This refers to destruction of the land ? "Gafris va'Melach Sereifah Chol Artzah?" (Devarim 29:22). It is as if it is burned; nothing will grow from it. Alternatively, it will truly be like Sedom and Amorah.

3.

Malbim: It is as if the entire land will stand to rise for Him, like one rises for a great king.

4)

Why does it add "v'Sevel v'Chol Yoshevei Vah"?

1.

Malbim: The verse depicts that the entire land will quake and its pillars will falter ? a general destruction via Yesod he'Afar.
