DAF DISCUSSIONS - SANHEDRIN 46

Weekly Parsha asks:

A comment on the Point by Point Outline of the Daf-

>>(h)Question Rav Acha bar Yakov: He should have said "Tikberenu"!

(i)Answer: Rav Chama does not expound the double expression.<<

It was not a matter of Rav Chama not expounding double expressions. It was Shvor Malka who would not have accepted such a drashah. This can be seen from the standard girsa in Rashi, and explicitly from the Bach's girsa.

The Kollel replies:

I would not knowingly rely on my own "concept" of Pashut Pshat to go against Rashi without being Me'orer this.

In this case, the Ran learns like what seems to us like Pashut Pshat.

I would suggest fixing what I wrote to say

(i)Answer: Rav Chama does not (Ran; Rashi - Shvor Malka would not) hold that the double expression warrants this Drashah.
