*********************GIRSA SECTION*********************

We recommend using the textual changes suggested by the Bach and the marginal notes of the Vilna Shas. This section is devoted to any OTHER important corrections that Acharonim have pointed out in the Gemara, Rashi and Tosfos.

[1] Gemara 27a [line 6]:

The words "d'Kedushas ha'Guf" ã÷ãåùú äâåó

should be "Kedushas ha'Guf" ÷ãåùú äâåó

[2] Rashi 27a DH Tovas Hana'ah ã"ä èåáú äðàä:

"v'Im Hayah Kohen" åàí äéä ëäï is a new Dibur

[3] Rashi DH Aval Hanei Matanos Bechor ... : ã"ä àáì äðé îúðåú áëåø

The words should be "Aval Hanei Matanos u'Vechor ..." àáì äðé îúðåú åáëåø

[4] Rashi DH Kohen Katan ã"ä ëäï ÷èï:

see SHITAH MEKUBETZES #13

(the correction of the RASHASH, removing the words "Lishna Acharina" ìùðà àçøéðà, does not appear to be correct)

[5] Gemara 27b [line 5]:

see SHITAH MEKUBETZES #1

13)[line 1]äæàäHAZA'AH - sprinkling on the third and seventh days (TUM'AS MES)

If a person (or utensil) became Tamei through touching a Mes, or an object that was Tamei with Tum'as Mes, or being in the same room as a Mes or something that is Metamei b'Ohel, he must wait seven days to become Tahor. On the third and seventh days he must have spring water mixed with the ashes of the Parah Adumah (Mei Chatas, see Background to Bechoros 25:11) sprinkled on him. A person who is Tahor dips three Ezov branches that have been bound together into the mixture, and sprinkles them on the person who is Tamei. On the seventh day, he immerses in a Mikvah after the mixture is sprinkled on him in order to complete his Taharah. (Bamidbar 19:17-19)

14)[line 9]ìùðä ãéãéä îðéðïL'SHANAH DIDEI MANINAN- we figure the year from the day it was born [and not from Rosh ha'Shanah]
