memoire was penned by Rav Shapiro's devoted disciple Rav Yehoshua Baumol,
may his murder be avenged, just a few weeks after his master's untimely
passing. It was rendered into English in 1994 by Charles Wengrov from the
original Yiddish manuscript.

this outstanding book -- the only English biography of Rav Meir Shapiro
zt'l -- has long been out of print and has recently been reprinted in a
limited-number edition by Kollel Iyun Hadaf and Feldheim publishers in
honor of the 11th Siyum HaShas of Dafyomi and in memory of the legendary
Rav Meir Shapiro zt'l, who founded the Dafyomi program over 80 years ago.
