or Nezirus Taharah.
*2* A Nazir must shave for his Nezirus Tum'ah *before* shaving for his
Nezirus Taharah.
*3* It is *prohibited* to perform any Tiglachas out of doubt during the days
of his Nezirus. Even during the days of his Safek Nezirus, he may not shave
out of doubt.
==========
FOOTNOTES:
==========
(1) When he brings the Olas Behemah each time he shaves during the first
three Tiglachos, he stipulates that, "If I am a Nazir Tahor now, then this
Korban is my Olas Chovah. If I am not a Nazir Tahor, then it is an Olas
Nedavah." Then, when he does the fourth Tiglachas, he stipulates, "If I was
*not* a Nazir Tahor until now, then this Korban is my Olas Chovah. If I was
already a Nazir Tahor (and already brought my Olas Chovah in its proper
time), then this is an Olas Nedavah."
(2) He also brings an Olas ha'Of, according to Tosfos (59b, DH Mi Shome'a).
(However, according to Tosfos on 60a, DH Tiglachas, since he is only a Safek
Nazir Tamei, it suffices to bring a Chatas ha'Of alone without bringing a
Olas ha'Of. [This Tosfos is a Hagahah, and was not authored by the same
Rishon as the first Tosfos.])
(3) One bird is slaughtered over a basin of water, and the second is dipped
in the water and then sent away. (This procedure is not conducted in the
Azarah but at the gate of the city, and hence it presents no problem of
bringing Chulin into the Azarah in case he is not a Metzora.)
(4) See above, footnote #2. When he brings the Asham, he stipulates that if
he is not a Metzora, the animal should be a Shelamim, and it is eaten with
the Chumros of both an Asham and Shelamim (according to Rebbi Shimon, who is
not concerned for decreasing the amount of time that one has to eat Kodshim
(60a)).
