What is the connection between Avshalom and Shim'i?

1.

Malbim: Do not say that Hashem did not incite him to curse, for He does not remove free choice. My son seeks to kill me - Hashem changed nature, for normally a son loves his father! All the more so He can tilt Shim'i's heart to curse, it is close to his nature, for (a) "V'Atah" - now even without him I am pursued and hated. (b) He is "Ben Yemini" (from Binyamin), who hate me. 1

After Ish Boshes was killed, all Shivtei Yisrael accepted David as king (5:1), including Binyamin (Radak there)! Perhaps Malbim means that Binyamin used to hate David. (PF)

Why is this not listed in Bereishis Rabah 92:7 among the 10 Kal v'Chomerim in Tanach (my own son seeks my life, all the more so this man from Binyamin!)?

1.

Moshav Zekenim (Bereishis 44:8): Perhaps the Kal v'Chomer 1 is rejected. (Hashem told him to curse.) Refer to 12:18:3:1.

What does the Kal v'Chomer teach> It cannot teach that all others will curse me, for only Shim'i cursed! It cannot teach that we should not kill him. We cannot learn this from Avshalom, for it was not within their ability to kill Avshalom! If it teaches that it is not so severe for him to curse me, this was not rejected! (PF)
