Radak (from Midrash Shmuel 13:8): There is a cloud over his doorway, like "v'Yesh Asher Yihyeh ha'Anan" (Bamidbar 9:21).

Sha'ul and his youth asked, and they answered both of them. Why did they say "Lefanecha" (singular)?

Radak: This refers to Sha'ul, who was esteemed. His youth was secondary.

Why did they say "Hinei Lefanecha Maher Atah"?

Malbim: Now he is in front of you. It will be easy for you to speak with him. Hurry, for afterwards you will not find him.

Why did they say that today he came to the city?

Malbim: It is improper for people of the city to impose on him with their questions and judgments right after he arrived, before he rests. You may request from him, for you are a visitor (and want to return after you ask).

Why did they mention that there is a Korban today?

Malbim: Everyone is busy preparing the Korban; you will find him alone.

Why does Yonason translate "Bamah" as 'Beis Ascharusa' (banquet house)?

Rashi (13): After Shilo was destroyed, Bamos were permitted, and they would offer Shelamim on a Bamah and eat them together. 1 (Megilah 9b)

Radak: Targum Onkelos of "va'Yeshvu Le'echol Lechem" (Bereishis 37:25) is 'v'Ascharu.'
