Why does it say Holech v'Karev about Galyus, and va'Yigash about David?

1.

Malbim: Kerivah is between equals. Hagashah is when one must strengthen himself, e.g. in front of a great person or tyrant. David was weaker, so it says va'Yigash. Galyus was confident in his strength, so it says v'Karev. It says Holech v'Karev because he could not go quickly due to the weight of his Kelim.
