QUESTIONS ON RASHI

4)

Rashi writes that he locked it with a key. How did he have the key?

1.

It seems that the key was left near the door 1 (PF). Radak (25) says that it could lock the door from the inside or the outside.

1

I.e. the door was not locked for security, rather, so people would know not to enter now (like in Tamid 1:1. - PF)
