Why does it say "Achal" and "Heshamu"?

1.

Radak: "Achal" applies to the Klal [of Goyim], and "Heshamu" to the individuals. They consumed Yakov, who knows You, and destroyed the place where they served You. Therefore You should pour Your anger against them! Even though we sinned, and they came against us due to Your command and desire, they should have had mercy, and not eaten and finished off. This is like "Ani Katzafti Me'at v'Hemah Azru l'Ra'ah" (Zecharyah 1:15).

2.

Malbim: Hashem destroyed the Mikdash to finish His anger against wood and stones. If so, why did they also consume Yakov?! They did more than You decreed against us!
