Why does it say "v'Lo Sham'u Elai v'Lo Hitu Es Aznam"?

Malbim: Had they tilted their ears [to hear], but did not heed, I would say that the words were not good in their eyes. However, they did not want to test the Nevi'im's words.

Why does it say "va'Yakshu Es Arpam"?

Malbim: Even if they showed to them Hashem's punishments and wonders, they stiffened their necks and did not turn around to see.

Why does it say "Here'u me'Avosam"?

Radak: In every generation, most were worse than their fathers. E.g. Menasheh and Amon, who were later, sinned more than the earlier ones.

Malbim: Their fathers investigated about their ways, and leaned to follow their hearts. They did not want to investigate, listen or even see!
