Why does it mention grape harvesters?

1.

Radak: It is a metaphor for the total destruction of Edom [without any remnant].

2.

Malbim: In one way, the enemies that came against Edom were like harvesters who come openly during the day. In another way, they were like thieves who come covertly at night. These plunderers were worse than both of them!

2)

Why does it say "Lo Yash'iru Olelos"?

1.

Rashi: This is said in astonishment. The plunderers who came upon you - did they not leave anything for you?!

2.

Malbim: The enemy was worse than harvesters who come during the day - the latter leave Olelos (deficient clusters). The enemy did not leave anything!

3)

Why does it say "Im Ganavim ba'Laylah Hishchisu Dayam"?

1.

Malbim: Thieves are not concerned for leaving Olelos. They destroy vines when they reap at night. However, they ruin only what is needed for them [to steal]. Also, they do not know the hidden matters. The enemy sought and destroyed everything!
