1)

Was there only one spear for everyone?

1.

Radak: It refers to all the spears. In Divrei ha'Yamim II, 23:9 it says "ha'Chanisim."

2)

What are "ha'Shelatim"?

1.

Radak: They are like shields. The same applies to "Kol Shiltei ha'Giborim" (Shir ha'Shirim 4:4).

3)

Why does it say "Asher la'Melech David"?

1.

Radak: David used to take them in war and he was Makdish them, like "Shiltei ha'Zahav Asher Lakach ma'Hadadezer" (Shmuel II, 8:7); they were in Otzros Beis Hashem 1 .

2.

Malbim: Shlomo made the ha'Shelatim (Melachim I, 10:17). They are attributed to David, for they were from gold that David left 2 .

Above (Melachim I, 14:26), it says that Shishak took "Otzros Beis Hashem v'Es Otzros Beis ha'Melech Hashem v'Es ha'Kol Lakach." Radak (Melachim I, 15:18) explained there that he did not take everything.

2

Refer to 11:10:3:1*.

4)

In Divrei ha'Yamim II, 23:9 it mentions also the Maginos. Why are they omitted here?

1.

Malbim: Shishak took them, and there were copper shields in place of them 1 .

Malbim implies that here we discuss only what was from David. Also Divrei ha'Yamim says "ha'Maginos veha'Shelatim Asher l'David"! Perhaps Asher l'David refers only to the ha'Shelatim, but not to the Maginos. However, if so, also our verse could have mentioned them! And why did Shishak take the Maginos, but not the Shelatim? Both are kinds of gold shields! (PF)
