How did the wings fit in the Kodesh ha'Kodoshim?

1.

Rashi (24, citing Bava Basra 99a): They fit miraculously. They stood next to each other; and their wings touched. The total span of all four wings was 20 Amos, the entire width of the Kodesh ha'Kodoshim. Their bodies (in between the wings) did not occupy space! 1

Radak, Malbim: Perhaps there was no miracle; the wings of each Keruv touched each other, and the bodies were underneath! (The Gemara brought this rejection, and five others; perhaps they did not stand next to each other, or they were on a diagonal, or the Kodesh ha'Kodoshim was 20 by 20 at the bottom, but wider on top! Perhaps the wings were bent, or they overlapped each other!)
