Does "Ki Hu Rodeh" give the reason for his daily meal?

1.

Radak: Yes. The wild goat, deer, Yachmor 1 and Barburim Avusim were gifts from kings on the other side of the river, who feared him.

2.

Malbim: No 2 , it is why he had so many horses (verse 5). They were prepared for war, if needed. Through them he ruled over kingdoms, for they knew that he has [a great] army, horses and chariots, and feared him. Through this, he did not need to fight. Normally, one is Rodeh (subjugates) nations only after fighting and conquering them
