Radak: They were blessed with many children, animals and Peros. They ate, drank and were happy, for they had no fear from enemies.

Malbim: This shows that it was not hard for them to supply Shlomo's needs, even though Mahari calculates that 60,000 people ate on his table every day. This is because there were so many Yisraelim, and they had more than enough to eat.
