Why are Chiram's boats mentioned here? They were discussed above (9:27-28)!

1.

Malbim citing Mahari: Since it said that she was astonished at the path from his house to Beis Hashem, it explains that it was of coral wood, which was very rare. Now {after Chiram's ships came from Ofir,} it was plentiful, and he could make the path from them, and also instruments that require big pieces of wood (verse 12).

2)

What are "Atzei Almogim"?

1.

Pesikta Rabasi (33): They were created at the time, and hidden away afterwards.

2.

Rashi: They are coral.

3)

Here it says Almogim. Why does it say in Divrei ha'Yamim II, 9:10 Algumim?

1.

Pesikta Rabasi (33): They were Gelumi 1 (uncut). Once they showed them to the Shamir (put it on them), they were like a Mog (melting substance).

2.

'Rashi' (Divrei ha'Yamim II, 9:10 citing Pesikta): The name is Algumim. They are called Almogim because it is soft, and it is Mismogeg (melts) and bends.

3.

Radak: They are the same, just the letters are reversed, like Keves and Kesev.
