"Kum Reid Maher mi'Zeh". Why did Hashem tell Moshe to 'hurry' and why did He add the word "mi'Zeh ('from here')?

Oznayim la'Torah #1: He told him to hurry to save Yisrael from further Avodah Zarah, Giluy Arayos and Shefichus Damim, and He added "mi'Zeh" because the angels wanted to kill him - and Hashem had to open a door underneath the Kisei ha'Kavod to enable him to escape. 1

Why does the Torah write "Ki Shicheis Amcha"? Were they Moshe's people?
