What are the connotations of "Asher Nasasi Es Yadi"?

1.

Rashi, R. Bachye, Targum Onkelos an Targum Yonasan: Hashem informed Moshe that He would bring Yisrael to the land that He raised His Hand to swear 1 (by His Throne ? Rashi), to give to the Avos, to give them as an inheritance.

1

R. Bachye: It is a manner of speech, since it is the way of people who swear to raise their hands heavenwards.

2)

Why did Hashem use the word "Morashah," and not 'Yerushah'?

1.

QUESTIONS ON RASHI

4)

Rashi writes: "I have lifted My Hand - [I.e.,] I have raised it to swear by My throne!" Why explain this way?

1.

Gur Aryeh: "Raising the hand" alone does not imply an oath in Halacha. Rashi explains that the oath comes from the implied reference to Hashem's Throne. A throne represents the kingdom itself; 1 as if to say, "I swear by My Kingship."

1

Gur Aryeh: As in Bereishis 41:40.
