What do we learn from "Min ha'Cheder Tavo Sufah"?

1.

Rashi: Refer to 37:9:2:1

2.

Ibn Ezra: Perhaps this is like "Chadrei Seman" (9:9), like I explained there. (They are stars in the south of the big Galgal. Because the Yishuv 1 is in the left, those stars are not seen. Therefore, they are called Chadrei, as if they are in a hidden place.)

3.

Malbim: Then come the great winds from the south.

1

Refer to 9:9:3:2*.

What is "Mezarim"?

1.

Rashi: It is the name of a storehouse [to store Sufah, storm winds].

2.

Ibn Ezra #1: Some say that it is the north.

3.

Ibn Ezra #2: Some say that it is Mazalos.

4.

Ibn Ezra #3: Some say that it is "Mezurah ha'Rases" (spread on a trap). This is difficult.

5.

Ibn Ezra: I say that they are stars, like "ha'Sotzi Mazaros b'Ito" (38:32).

6.

Malbim: A north wind is Mefazer (scatters) clouds - via this, cold comes.
