What is the meaning of "va'Yasirehu? bi'Yrushalayim"?
'Rashi', Radak: He removed him from his kingship in Yerushalayim.
Here it says "va'Yasirehu". In Melachim II, 23:33 it says "va'Ya'asrehu"!
Radak: In Rivlah, he bound him, and deposed him from kingship (Malbim, Melachim II, 23:33 - lest he rule again).
Why did Necho depose Yeho'achaz (and incarcerate him, like it says in Melachim II, 23:33)?
Radak (Melachim II, 23:33): When Yeho'achaz became king, he thought to avenge his father's death via Necho. He invaded Egypt and struck them greatly. When he returned, Necho fought him in Chamas, and captured and incarcerated him ? "va'Yilmad Litraf Teref Adam Achal" (Yechezkel 19:3, 6). Why would he incarcerate him, if there was no prior reason, i.e. [Yeho'achaz] fought him or invaded his land?! We find that [Necho did not fight without reason; he] told Yoshiyah "I am not [coming to fight] against you today" (above, 35:21). Rather, it seems like I said; Yechezkel's metaphor shows like this.
Why did he impose a monetary punishment on the land?
Kli Yakar: Refer to Melachim II, 23:33:3:2.
Malbim: It is because they picked the younger to be king before the older; Necho made the proper (older) one king.
