Who is "Toref Nafsho b'Apo", and how?
Rashi: Iyov. He tears and wounds his Nefesh amidst his anger.
Malbim: Iyov. Amidst your anger, you decided that the Nefesh is mortal.
Erech Apayim 1, citing the Ari Zal: One who gets angry. He makes his Nefesh Tereifah. His Neshamah is lost, and another comes in place of it.
What was the question "ha'Lema'ancha Te'azev Aretz"?
Rashi: Will the land abandon its Mishpat (etiquette of conduct) due to your virtue?!
Devar Eliyahu: Will the land abandon its conduct due to your screaming?!
Malbim: Refer to 18:4:3:3.
What was the question "v'Yetak Tzur mi'Mekomo"?
Rashi: Will the Creator abandon His Da'as and Midah (how He conducts, due to your virtue)?!
Devar Eliyahu: Will the Creator abandon His Midos and ways of conducts [due to your screaming]?!
Malbim: This is a Mashal. The earth has a solid foundation in its middle that draws everything towards it. Even if the entire land would be destroyed, the foundation would remain in its place, suspended on nothing. Also man has a strong foundation - his Divine Nefesh. Even when it will abandon the land (the body will die), the foundation will not depart. It will live forever. Because you want to complain about Hashem's deeds, will we say that when the body abandons the land and dies, also the foundation should leave its place (the Nefesh will die with the body)?!
