Rashi: Targum Onkelos of "Machavas" (Vayikra 2:5) is a pan. Radak - she cooked the dough in it. Chazal (Sanhedrin 21a) say that she made fried food, i.e. she fried the dough in the pan with oil.

How did he want people to understand why he told everyone else to leave?

Malbim: She did not feed him, like he requested, just she poured the food into a bowl. He wanted her to feed him. 1

Why does this mandate that all others must leave? Perhaps it is that he cannot feed himself. Or, no one dreamed that he would seduce or rape her; they obeyed his words without asking, lest he be upset, which could worsen his illness. (PF)
