Who is "Eloka Ma'uzim"?
Rashi: The G-d of the Keruvim 1 , with Whom they will make a Bris.
Malbim: It is Hashem. He will say that he has strength from his Father in Heaven.
Surely this is Hashem, who is "Yoshev ha'Keruvim" (Tehilim 80:2). However, Rashi's next words say that this is to flatter the idolaters! I see two possibilities. (a) Rashi's coming words really belong on the Seifa "vele'Eloka Asher Lo Yeda'uhu Avosav Yechabed." (b) The text of Rashi should say 'Elohei ha'Kevushim' (the gods of people that he conquered). (PF)
Why "Al Kano Yechabed"?
Rashi: He will flatter the idolaters, so they will be under his reign.
Malbim: He will say that he is Hashem's Shali'ach in the land, and stands in place of Him
Why does it say "vele'Eloka Asher Lo Yeda'uhu Avosav Yechabed"?
Malbim: His fathers did not believe in Him.
