D.A.F.'s Chumash section - bamidbar Chapter 10, Pasuk 28

Why does the Torah insert the (otherwise superfluous) word "Eileh Mas'ei B'nei Yisrael ... Va'yisa'u"?

Rashi:"Eileh Mas'ei" refers to the order in which they traveled, ¹ whereas "Va'yisa'u" informs us that they traveled on the same day that the Cloud rose, on the twentieth of Iyar. ²
