These verses discuss Dan. Why does it mention Beis Yosef?

Radak: Yosef was near Dan, and also near Yehudah. 1

Malbim: Bnei Dan themselves could not overcome the Kena'anim, until their neighbor Bnei Yosef came to help them.

This seems unlike he wrote in Yehoshua (11:23), that Yehudah and Yosef were at the south and north ends of Eretz Yisrael. Refer to Yehoshua 11:23:2:1*.

What do we learn from "va'Yihyu l'Mas"?

Malbim: Even though with Yosef they overpowered them and could have destroyed them, they were content to merely take taxes.
