Why does it say "k'Das Mah La'asos"?

Rashi: This refers to "the king said to the Chachamim" (13).

Above, he said "Vashti ha'Malkah" (11). Why did he now say "ba'Malkah Vashti"?

Vilna Gaon: He wanted to save her. Therefore, he hints that she was the daughter of a great king.

2.

Malbim: She is a queen; do not judge her like a commoner who rebelled against the king, rather, like the law of a wife and her husband.

What is the significance of "Lo Asesah Es Ma'amar ha'Melech"?

Vilna Gaon: He did not mention her words of disgrace, even though the advisors knew, like we will explain (refer to 1:17:2:1).

Why did he mention "b'Yad ha'Sarisim"?

Vilna Gaon: It was not in front of the king, rather, via others.

Malbim: This is an excuse for her. It is disgraceful for one who was a queen from birth that Sarisim bring her.
