SUMMARY

1. The Mishnah lists various laws that apply to Ma'aser Behemah.

2. Rebbi Akiva: Ma'aser Behemah separated outside of Eretz Yisrael cannot be offered as a Korban of Ma'aser Behemah.

3. Although the Mishnah states that Ma'aser Behemah still applies outside of Eretz Yisrael, one is forbidden from dedicating an animal as Ma'aser Behemah.

4. One should not dedicate anything as Hekdesh or Cherem nowadays.

5. One may not separate Terumah or Ma'aser from one type of produce in order to exempt a different type of produce.

A BIT MORE

1. Included in this list is the law that it applies even outside of Eretz Yisrael, whether or not there is a Beis ha'Mikdash. Also included is the law that it applies only to ordinary animals (as opposed to those that are already Hekdesh).

2. The animal separated outside of Eretz Yisrael as Ma'aser Behemah must graze until it receives a blemish, and then it may be eaten by its owner.

3. Rabah explains that this is because such an animal would likely end up causing transgression, as someone might shear its wool, use it for work, or slaughter it before it receives a blemish.

4. If he does, it should be disabled or destroyed in a way that it is not possible that one will benefit from it. For example, fruit should be left to rot.

5. This is derived from the verse, "Any fat of olives and any fat of grapes and grain.," where "fat" implies Terumah. This indicates that Terumah must be separated from olives separately and grapes separately, not one on behalf of the other. The Gemara later explains how this relates to all types of produce.
