SUMMARY

1. When two people give a whole Shekel in partnership for their Machtzis ha'Shekel, they must give an extra Kalbon. There is a disagreement about whether the Kalbon is placed in the Terumas ha'Lishkah.

2. According to Shmuel, the six boxes labeled "Nedavah" in the Beis ha'Mikdash were for the surplus money from the money designated for a Chatas, Asham, Asham Nazir, Asham Metzora, Minchas Chotei, or the tenth of an Eifah of the Kohen Gadol.

3. Rebbi Oshiya agrees with Shmuel, but he maintains that one of the boxes was labeled "Kinim" instead of the tenth of an Eifah of the Kohen Gadol.

4. The surplus of the tenth of an Eifah of the Kohen Gadol is used for Olos Nedavah, according to Rebbi Yochanan. Rebbi Elazar maintains that it is left to rot.

5. The surplus of the breads of a Todah is left to rot.

6. If a person says, "This ox, or these oxen, will be for an Olah," and they develop a Mum, he may buy two oxen for Olos with the proceeds of the redemption of one ox. Alternatively, he may buy one ox with the proceeds of two oxen, according to the Tana Kama. Rebbi disagrees.

7. If a person says, "This Ayil will be for an Olah," and it develops a Mum, he may buy a Keves with the proceeds of the redemption, according to the Tana Kama. Rebbi disagrees.

8. If a person says, "This ox will be for an Olah," and it develops a Mum, he may buy an Ayil with the proceeds. He may buy two Eilim, according to the Tana Kama of the Beraisa. Rebbi disagrees, because the Menachos must be brought in two vessels.

9. A person says, "This ox will be for an Olah, and its value is upon me." If it develops a Mum, he is responsible to buy one ox for an Olah.

10. A person says, "One of my Kevasim or one of my oxen shall be Hekdesh." If he owns two animals, the larger one is Hekdesh.

11. A person says, "An ox among my oxen (Shor b'Shorai) is Hekdesh." Even if he owns three animals, only the largest one is Hekdesh.

12. If an ox of Hekdesh becomes mixed with other oxen, the largest one is Hekdesh. The remaining oxen are sold for Olos, and the proceeds are Chulin.

A BIT MORE

1. According to Rebbi Meir, the Kalbon is placed in the Terumas ha'Lishkah together with all of the Shekalim. Rebbi Eliezer maintains that it is placed in the boxes labeled "Nedavah."

2. The Asham Nazir and Metzora require separate boxes because they were brought from an animal in its first year, while the other Ashamos were brought from an animal in its second year. The Asham Metzora is not the same as an Asham Nazir, because it requires Nesachim. The blood is placed on the Behonos and it is Matir the Metzora to enter the Machaneh, as opposed to an Asham Nazir.

3. Although there already was a separate box for Kinim, the first box was for a woman who was obligated to bring Kinim, and the second was for the surplus of the money which had been designated for Kinim.

4. Rebbi Oshiya agrees with Rebbi Elazar, and thus he disagrees with Shmuel who maintains that one of the boxes in the Beis ha'Mikdash was labeled "Nedavah."

5. It is not used for Olos Nedavah, because it is not a Chatas and cannot be offered by itself, because the breads cannot be brought without a Korban.

6. Since he said, "This ox will be an Olah," it is a Nedavah, not a Neder, and he is not obligated to replace it. Therefore, according to the Tana Kama, he may buy two oxen instead of one, or one ox instead of two. However, if he made a Neder to bring an ox worth a Manah for an Olah, he may not buy two oxen for a Manah instead of one ox.

7. The same dispute applies in a case in which one says, "This Keves will be for an Olah,” and it develops a Mum. According to the Tana Kama, he may buy an Ayil with the proceeds of the redemption. Rebbi disagrees.

8. The Rabanan of the Beraisa disagree with the Rabanan of the Mishnah. According to the Rabanan of the Mishnah, even one Ayil may be bought with the proceeds. Similarly, Rebbi in the Beraisa disagrees with Rebbi in the Mishnah. According to Rebbi in the Mishnah, even if the Menachos may be brought in one utensil, Eilim may not be bought with the proceeds.

9. Since he said, "Its value is upon me," his statement is a Neder, and he must bring the exact Korban that he vowed to bring.

10. If he owns three animals, either the medium size or largest one is Hekdesh. He must wait for the medium size animal to develop a Mum, and then he `s the value onto the largest animal.

11. If one says, "I am giving you a house among my houses (Bayis b'Beisi) as a gift," he must give him his largest house.

12. Since they are sold for Olos, they retain their Kedushah. Therefore, the proceeds are Chulin.
