SUMMARY

1. If, after the Shechitah or Melikah of a bird, it was found to be a Tereifah, it is not Metamei as a Neveilah, according to Rebbi Meir. Rebbi Yosi maintains that the Shechitah of a bird of Chulin purifies it from Tum'as Neveilah, but not the Melikah of Hekdesh.

2. Blood of a Korban which was not placed on the Mizbe'ach until nightfall, or Eimurim which were not placed on the Mizbe'ach until after daybreak, may not be taken down.

3. A law of Hekdesh derived through a Binyan Av may be learned through another Binyan Av.

4. A Korban which became Pasul due to Yotzei or Tamei, which was placed on the Mizbe'ach, may not be taken down.

5. A Korban which became Pasul due to a Machshavah of Chutz li'Zemano or Chutz li'Mekomo that was placed on the Mizbe'ach may not be taken down.

6. Blood of a Korban that was received or placed on the Mizbe'ach by a Pasul Kohen may not be taken down.

7. The remainder of the blood of a Chatas Penimis is poured on the Yesod on the western side of the Mizbe'ach in the Azarah.

8. Only the Mizbe'ach in the Azarah has a Yesod. The Mizbe'ach in the Heichal has no Yesod.

9. The remaining blood of an Olah is poured on the Yesod of the Mizbe'ach.

10. The blood of an Olah must be placed on the Mizbe'ach only on the corners which are above part of the Yesod.

A BIT MORE

1. According to Rebbi Yehudah, even the Shechitah of a bird of Chulin does not purify it from Tum'as Neveilah if it is found to be a Tereifah.

2. The blood of a Korban must be placed on the Mizbe'ach before nightfall, and the Eimurim must be placed on the Mizbe'ach before daybreak. If they were placed on the Mizbe'ach afterwards, they may not be taken down.

3. The law of blood of a Korban which was placed on the Mizbe'ach after nightfall is learned through a Binyan Av from Eimurim placed on the Mizbe'ach after daybreak. The law of Eimurim is learned through a Binyan Av from the flesh of a Korban Shelamim which may be eaten for two days and one night.

4. Yotzei does not invalidate a Korban brought on a Bamah, and Tamei does not invalidate a Korban Tzibur. If they were placed on the Mizbe'ach, they may not be taken down.

5. The placing of the blood on the Mizbe'ach for a Korban that was slaughtered with a Machshavah of Chutz li'Zemano is Meratzeh the Korban to become Pigul. If it was placed on the Mizbe'ach, it may not be taken down. Chutz li'Mekomo is learned from Chutz li'Zemano, and therefore in that case as well it is not taken down from the Mizbe'ach.

6. Only if the Pasul Kohen, who received the blood or placed it on the Mizbe'ach, is eligible to perform the Avodah for a Korban Tzibur, such as a Kohen who is Tamei, is it not removed.

7. The Torah commands that the blood be poured on the Yesod at the entrance of the Ohel Mo'ed. The western side is the closest to the Ohel Mo'ed.

8. However, even the Yesod of the Mizbe'ach in the Azarah does not go all the way around the Mizbe'ach. The southeastern side of the Mizbe'ach lacks a Yesod.

9. If any blood is left in the utensil after the blood of an Olah is placed on the Mizbe'ach, the remaining blood must be poured on the Yesod of the Mizbe'ach.

10. The blood of an Olah is placed on two corners of the Mizbe'ach. It may not be placed on the southeastern corner of the Mizbe'ach, because that corner lacks a Yesod.
