Rebbi Shimon says that there is no Chiyuv of Pigul for the Log Shemen of a Metzora. Rebbi Meir disagrees, because the blood of the Asham is the Matir for the Log Shemen. 4. A BIT MORE
1. The Chiyuv of Pigul applies only to eating something which has a Matir, but not to something which is a Matir. The Kometz and Levonah are a Matir. The Minchah of a Kohen and a Kohen Mashi'ach are completely consumed on the Mizbe'ach and have no Matir. The blood of a Korban is a Matir. 2. According to Rebbi Meir, if Nesachim are brought as a Nedavah without a Korban, or if Nesachim are brought with a Korban on a different day than the Korban. since it is not brought with the Korban it does not have a Matir and there is no Chiyuv Pigul. The Chachamim maintain that even if the Nesachim are brought on the same day as the Korban, since it could have been brought on a different day the Korban is not considered to be the Matir for the Nesachim, even when it is brought on the same day. 3. The Log Shemen may not be placed on the Metzora unless the blood of the Asham was placed on the Metzora first. Since the Log Shemen may be brought on a different day than the Asham, the Asham it is not considered the Matir for the Nesachim, according to Rebbi Shimon. Rebbi Meir maintains that if the Log Shemen is brought on the same day as the Asham, there is a Chiyuv Kares for eating the Log Shemen if the Asham is brought with a Machshavas Pigul. 4. According to Rebbi Shimon, the laws of Pigul do not apply to any Korban which has no blood placed on the Mizbe'ach in the Azarah. 5. It is left on the Mizbe'ach since it became Pasul only after it was brought into the Azarah. Although it may not be placed on the Mizbe'ach l'Chatchilah, if it was placed on the Mizbe'ach it may not be taken down. 6. However, if the fire had already partially consumed the flesh, it must be returned to the Mizbe'ach after it was taken down. 7. One who eats from one of them is not Chayav.
