SUMMARY
1. There is a disagreement about whether the Parshah of a Mezuzah must be written as a Parshah Setumah. 2. An empty space, the size of a half a fingernail, must be left on the top and bottom of the parchment of a Mezuzah. 3. Rav says that if Eliyahu ha'Navi will arrive and say that Chalitzah may be done with a Min'al (a shoe with soft leather), we will listen to him, but if he will say that we may not do Chalitzah with a Sandal (a shoe with tough leather), we will not listen to him, because the prevalent Minhag is to do Chalitzah with a Sandal. 4. There is disagreement about whether Chalitzah may be done l'Chatchilah with a Min'al. 5. Parchment from an old, tattered Sefer Torah or Tefilin may not be used for a Mezuzah because of the prohibition against lowering its sanctity. 6. Tefilin must be written on "Klaf," parchment which is the outer half of a split hide. A Mezuzah must be written on "Duchsustus," which is the inner half of the hide. 7. If Tefilin were written on Klaf on the side that faced the hair of the animal, or on Duchsustus, they are Pasul, according to the Tana Kama. Rav Acha disagrees. 8. There is a disagreement about whether Mezuzos require Sirtut (etched lines). Everyone agrees that Tefilin do not require Sirtut. 9. Rav Huna says that one is forbidden to sit on a bed on which a Sefer Torah rests. Rebbi Yochanan disagrees. 10. If a Mezuzah is hung from a stick, or if it is placed on the wall behind the door, it is Pasul and the house is in danger.

A BIT MORE
1. Rav Nachman bar Yitzchak says that even according to Rebbi Meir, who maintains that the Parshah of a Mezuzah must be written as a Parshah Pesuchah, if it is written as a Parshah Setumah it is valid. 2. There also must be enough space at the beginning of the parchment to wrap around the Mezuzah after it is rolled, but it is not necessary to leave any space at the end, as long as the letters do not extend until the very end. 3. According to a second version, if Eliyahu will arrive and say that we may not perform Chalitzah with a Min'al, we will listen to him. 4. According to the first version, that if Eliyahu ha'Navi will arrive and say that Chalitzah may be done with a Min'al (a shoe with soft leather) we will listen to him, Chalitzah may not be done l'Chatchilah with a Min'al unless Eliyahu arrives and permits it. According to the second version, Chalitzah may not be done l'Chatchilah with a shoe. 5. Sifrei Torah and Tefilin have more sanctity than a Mezuzah. 6. Tefilin must be written on Klaf, on the side that faced the flesh. Mezuzos must be written on Duchsustus, on the side that faced the hair. 7. However, a Mezuzah which was written on Klaf is valid b'Di'eved, as long as it was written on the side that faced the flesh of the animal. 8. One may write both Tefilin and Mezuzos without glancing first at the written Parshiyos. Since these Parshiyos are very familiar to everyone, the scribe is assumed to know them by heart. 9. However, everyone agrees that is forbidden to place a Sefer Torah on the ground. 10. The Mezuzah protects the house. If the Mezuzah is not placed on the doorpost properly, it is akin to having no Mezuzah, and it will not provide protection.
