SUMMARY
1. The Mishnah records a dispute about whether one who is unsure that he benefited from Hekdesh must bring an Asham Taluy. 2. Rebbi Tarfon says that, in the case above (#1), one should bring one Asham along with the money owed, and he should make a condition. 3. Rebbi Akiva agrees in principle with Rebbi Tarfon (#2 above), but he says that one does not need to do so if it is not worth it for him. 4. The Mishnah discusses the case of a woman who offered a Chatas ha'Of because of a doubt about whether she had given birth to a properly-formed fetus, but was then informed that it was an actual birth. 5. The Mishnah discusses a case in which there was one piece of Chulin and one piece of Hekdesh, and two people ate the two pieces, and neither one knows which one he ate.

A BIT MORE
1. Rebbi Akiva: He must bring an Asham Taluy. Chachamim: He is exempt. Rebbi Akiva admits that he does not have to pay what he may have usurped from Hekdesh until it is ascertained that he benefited from Hekdesh. 2. He should pay the principal plus one fifth (the penalty for Me'ilah), plus bring an Asham worth two Sela (the higher amount of an Asham Taluy). He should stipulate that if he indeed usurped from Hekdesh, then this is his payment and his Korban (Asham Me'ilah). If he did not usurp from Hekdesh, the payment is a donation to Hekdesh and his Korban should be an Asham Taluy. 3. If the person is in doubt about whether he had a small benefit from Hekdesh, it is worth it for him to offer only one Korban and pay the small amount, even though it will possibly be a donation. However, if the amount in question is very large, it is not worth it for him to have to pay such a large amount that he very well may not owe as a donation to Hekdesh. 4. If she was informed before the Melikah, the bird offering should just be changed to a Chatas ha'Of for a definite birth, as the same Korban is brought in either case. The main difference is that a Chatas ha'Of brought for a definite birth is eaten by the Kohanim. 5. Rebbi Akiva: Each person must bring an Asham Taluy (see #1 above). Rebbi Shimon: They bring one Asham Taluy together on condition that whoever did not eat the Hekdesh piece gives his share of ownership in the Korban to the other person. Rebbi Yosi: Two people cannot jointly offer an Asham.
