A BIT MORE
1. Even though hanging the strainer itself is clearly not prohibited according to Torah law, the Rabanan prohibited it because it is something that is normally done to perform work on weekdays and is akin to building a tent.
2. Rav Sheshes questions how the Chachamim could maintain that this act is a Torah prohibition when their disputant, Rebbi Eliezer (137b) says that it is entirely permitted. Nevertheless, Rav Kahana insists that this indeed is their argument.
3. Rabah: This is an act of Borer (separating). Rebbi Zeira: This is an act of Meraked (sifting).
4. This is not considered an Ohel, as there is no roof.
5. Rav and the Rabanan in Kerem b'Yavneh: Torah will one day be forgotten. Rebbi Shimon bar Yochai: Heaven forbid that this will ever happen. Rather, the verses that imply that the Torah will be forgotten mean that there will be so much argument that it will be difficult to reach a consensus about the reasoning behind certain laws.
