SUMMARY
1. The Gemara discusses why the Rabanan instituted that Pigul and Nosar cause one's hands to be Tamei. 2. There is a dispute about the blessings recited upon eating the Korbanos on Pesach night. 3. There is a similar dispute about the blood of Korbanos sprinkled on the Mizbe'ach and the blood of Korbanos poured on the Mizbe'ach. 4. A BIT MORE
1. The decree that Pigul is Metamei one's hands was made to ensure that Kohanim would not intentionally cause animals to become Pigul. (Kohanim were very concerned that their hands not become Tamei.) The decree that Nosar is Metamei one's hands was made so that Kohanim would be careful to eat the Korbanos and not leave them over. 2. A blessing is said upon eating the Korban Pesach, and a blessing is said upon eating the Korban Chagigah of the fourteenth of Nisan. Rebbi Akiva says that each blessing must be said separately on the appropriate Korban, while Rebbi Yishmael says that the blessing on the Pesach exempts one from making the blessing on the Chagigah. 3. Rebbi Yishmael: If one pours the blood of a Korban when that blood is supposed to be sprinkled, it is valid, but if one sprinkles blood that is supposed to be poured, the Korban is invalid. Rebbi Akiva: The blood of a Korban that must be poured may not be sprinkled, and vice versa. 4. The question: While it is clear that the father of the baby recites the blessing, “Al Pidyon ha'Ben,” who recites the blessing of Shehecheyanu, the father or the Kohen? 5. The Gemara concludes that the father recites both blessings.
