A BIT MORE
1. Everyone agrees that Bnei Yisrael came to Har Sinai on the first of Cheshvan, and everyone agrees that the Torah was given on Shabbos. The question is whether Rosh Chodesh was on Sunday or Monday.
2. These three things are: He added another day for Bnei Yisrael to prepare before receiving the Torah, he separated from his wife, and he broke the first set of the Luchos.
3. It is apparent from the verses that Moshe reported to Hashem two different matters, one of which was "Na'aseh v'Nishma." Rebbi Yosi b'Rebbi Yehudah understands that the other matter was their acceptance of the Mitzvah of erecting a fence around Har Sinai. Rebbi explains that it was their acceptance of the punishment and reward that they would receive for their Mitzvah observance.
4. Bnei Yisrael received the Mitzvah of Shabbos in Marah before receiving the Torah. There is a dispute about whether they also received the Mitzvah of Techum Shabbos there.
5. Among these things are: It was the first day of Creation, it was the first day of the offerings of the Nesi'im when the Mishkan was inaugurated, and it was the first day that Kohanim served in the Mishkan.
