SUMMARY

1. The Kemitzah of a Minchah may be done anywhere in the Azarah.

2. The remnants of a Minchah may be eaten only by male Kohanim for one day and one night within the curtains of the Ohel Mo'ed.

3. If the Kemitzah of a Minchah is done in the Heichal, it is valid.

4. If a Kohen does the Kemitzah of a Minchah with his left hand, he should do another Kemitzah with his right hand.

5. If a Kohen slaughters a Korban Shelamim in the Heichal, it is valid.

6. If it is impossible for the Kohanim to eat the Kodshei Kodashim in the Azarah because it is surrounded by Nochri soldiers, they may eat it in the Heichal.

7. The sprinkling of the blood of a Chatas ha'Of, the Hagashah of a Minchah, and the spilling of the remaining blood of a Chatas are all done on the lower part of the southwestern corner of the Mizbe'ach.

8. Rebbi Eliezer says that the Hagashah of a Minchah is done on the southern side of the Mizbe'ach.

9. The Nisuch of wine, Nisuch of water, and the Avodos of an Olas ha'Of when there is no room on the eastern side of the Mizbe'ach are done on the upper part of the southwestern corner of the Mizbe'ach.

10. When a Kohen ascends the Mizbe'ach, he stays to his right. After he circles the Mizbe'ach, he descends the Mizbe'ach on the left, with three exceptions.

A BIT MORE

1. Although Kodshei Kodashim may be slaughtered only in the north of the Azarah, the Kemitzah of a Minchah may be done anywhere in the Azarah.

2. A Minchah is Kodshei Kodashim. Therefore, it shares the same law as a Korban Chatas and Korban Asham, which may be eaten only by male Kohanim within the confines of the Azarah.

3. Removing the Bazichin of the Lechem ha'Panim from the Shulchan in the Heichal is akin to the Kemitzah of a Minchah. Just as the removal of the Bazichin is done in the Heichal, the Kemitzah of a Minchah also may be done in the Heichal.

4. The Kemitzah of a Minchah must be done with the Kohen's right hand. However, if he does it with his left hand, it is not Pasul. He must do another Kemitzah with his right hand.

5. The Torah states that a Shelamim must be slaughtered at the entrance to the Ohel Mo'ed. Since the Torah makes the Ohel Mo'ed more important than the Azarah, if it is slaughtered in the Heichal, it is valid.

6. Even though it is not proper for a servant to eat in the place of his Master, a Gezeiras ha'Kasuv states that Kodshei Kodashim may be eaten in the Heichal.

7. Although the Melikah of a Chatas ha'Of may be done on the upper part of the Mizbe'ach, the sprinkling of the blood must be done on the lower part of the Mizbe'ach.

8. According to Rebbi Eliezer, the entire Mizbe'ach was situated north of the Azarah. Therefore, the southern side of the Mizbe'ach was "in front of Hashem" because it was directly opposite the entrance to the Heichal.

9. The Olas ha'Of is done l'Chatchilah on the southeastern corner of the Mizbe'ach. However, if there are too many Kohanim doing the Avodah in the southeast, the Avodos of the Olas ha'Of are done instead on the southwestern corner of the Mizbe'ach.

10. The three exceptions are: Nisuch of wine, Nisuch of water, and the Avodos of an Olas ha'Of, which are done on the upper part of the southwestern corner of the Mizbe'ach. For these Avodos, when the Kohen reaches the top of the Mizbe'ach he turns to his left and goes directly to the southwestern corner. He then returns the way he came.
