Abaye says that even half an olive's size of a Kometz of a Minchah may not be brought as sourdough. 5. Rava says that even half of a Kometz of a Minchah may not be brought as sourdough. 6. If one mixes sourdough with honey and burns the mixture on the Mizbe'ach, he is Chayav four sets of Malkus, according to Rava. 7. Abaye disagrees with Rava. A BIT MORE
1. The Shtei ha'Lechem are Chametz, which is forbidden to be placed on the Mizbe'ach. Even though the Tzibur is obligated to bring the Shtei ha'Lechem on Shavuos, it may not be brought as a Nedavah. 2. Although honey may not be placed on the Mizbe'ach, it may be mixed with the Shirayim which are eaten by the Kohanim, since the Kohanim may eat their portion of the Korbanos in any manner that they choose. However, a Gezeiras ha'Kasuv states that the Shirayim may not be made into Chametz even though they are not placed on the Mizbe'ach, 3. Rebbi Chisda says the difference between Rebbi Eliezer and Rebbi Akiva is that according to Rebbi Akiva, one is Chayav for transgressing a Lav even for burning the flesh of a Chatas ha'Of on the Mizbe'ach, because it is called a Korban. Rebbi Eliezer disagrees. Rav says the difference between them is that according to Rebbi Akiva, one is Chayav even for burning a Log Shemen of a Metzora on the Mizbe'ach, because it is called a Korban. Rebbi Eliezer disagrees. 4. According to Abaye, a Kometz may be less than the size of two olives, a Haktarah on the Mizbe'ach may be less than the size of an olive, and even half of a Kometz which is less than an olive's size may not be brought on the Mizbe'ach as Chametz. 5. According to Rava, a Kometz may not be less than the size of two olives, a Haktarah on the Mizbe'ach may be less than the size of an olive, and even half of a Kometz which is the size of an olive may not be brought on the Mizbe'ach as Chametz. 6. He is Chayav for bringing sourdough on the Mizbe'ach, he is Chayav for bringing honey on the Mizbe'ach, and he is Chayav an additional two sets of Malkus for bringing a mixture of sourdough and a mixture of honey on the Mizbe'ach. 7. According to one opinion, Abaye maintains that there is only one Chiyuv for the sourdough and one Chiyuv for the honey, and there is no Chiyuv for the second Lav of the mixture of sourdough and honey. According to a second opinion, Abaye maintains that one is not Chayav Malkus at all, because there is no Chiyuv Malkus for a Lav which includes more than one prohibition.
