SUMMARY
Rebbi Meir says that if someone makes a Neder not to enter a house, the upper floors are not included, but the Chachamim disagree. If someone makes a Neder not to enter an Aliyah the house is not included. Upper floors are susceptible to becoming Tamei from Nig'ei Batim. Someone who tells his friend that he is selling him Bayis b'Beisi he must give him the best of his houses. Rebbi Meir says that if someone makes a Neder not to use a bed, a leather bed is not included, but the Chachamim disagree. If someone makes a Neder not to use a leather bed a regular bed is not included. When the King is a mourner the comforters sit on the floor and the King sits on a leather bed. A mourner must turn over all of the beds in his house with the exception of a bed that is used for utensils and a leather bed. (1) A mourner shall turn a poster bed on its side. A person who makes a Neder not to enter a city may not enter within the Ibur of the city but he may enter within its Techum. (2) A person who makes a Neder not to enter a house may not enter within the doorway of the house. When a Kohen seals off a house that has a Nega he shall stand outside the doorposts of the house. (3)
A BIT MORE
1. Rebbi Shimon Ben Gamliel says that the mourner shall undo the leather straps of the leather bed. 2. BRIEF INSIGHT
THE IBUR OF A CITY A PERSON WHO MAKES A NEDER NOT TO ENTER A CITY MAY NOT ENTER WITHIN THE IBUR OF THE CITY BUT HE MAY ENTER WITHIN ITS TECHUM. THE CHASAM SOFER SAYS THAT IF THERE IS A SEPARATE CITY THAT IS BUILT WITHIN THE IBUR OF THE CITY HE MAY ENTER THE OTHER CITY. EVEN THOUGH THE SEPARATE CITY IS WITHIN THE IBUR OF THE FORBIDDEN CITY SINCE IT IS A SEPARATE CITY IT IS PERMITTED FOR HIM TO ENTER IT.
QUICK HALACHAH
A HOUSE AND ALIYAH If someone makes a Neder not to enter a house, the upper floors are included, but if someone makes a Neder not to enter an Aliyah the house is not included. A person who makes a Neder not to enter a city may not enter within the Ibur of the city which is a bit more than 70 Amos outside the city. If a person makes a Neder not to enter a house, he may not enter within the doorway of the house where the door closes, but outside that area is permitted even though it is within the doorposts.
