A BIT MORE
1. If they originally held exactly a Se'ah, then they are susceptible to Tum'ah if they now hold a Revi'is. It is a stringency that they are susceptible to Tum'ah even though they hold no more than a Revi'is. 2. If they originally held exactly two Se'ah or more, they are susceptible to Tum'ah if they now hold a Log. 3. However, if the stain is exactly the size of a bean or less, she is not Tamei. We assume tgat the blood came from lice which were crushed on her garment. 4. A puncture is worse than if the spleen was removed entirely, because it causes the animal much pain and makes it sick. 5. A Gezeiras ha'Kasuv states that what is inside the animal becomes permitted with the Shechitah of the animal. This includes a fetus, even the part that has been cut off. 6. The severed portion of the spleen or kidney is not included among the things permitted by the Shechitah. The Torah permits everything that is inside the animal with the Shechitah of the animal because it is was originally an integral part of the body of the animal before it was cut off. 7. If it was diseased until the furrow in the middle of kidney, it is a Tereifah. 8. However, if the lung of an animal is filled with pus, the animal is Kosher, but if the kidney is filled with pus, the animal is not Kosher. If the lung or kidney is filled with a clear liquid, the animal is Kosher, but if the liquid is cloudy or smells, the animal is a Tereifah. 9. However, it is Kosher only if it can live by having food thrust down its throat; otherwise, it is a Tereifah. 10. Rebbi Shimon ben Elazar maintains that if the lung of an animal was shriveled because it was frightened by a creature such as a lion, the animal is a Tereifah. 11. Rebbi Shimon ben Elazar maintains that Rebbi Meir retracted and agreed with the Rabanan that it is a Tereifah. 12. According to Shmuel, the width of a Sela of skin down the entire length of the spine must remain intact. According to Rabah bar bar Chanah, a Sela of skin must remain intact on the major joints of the animal. According to Rebbi Elazar ben Yanai, a Sela of skin must remain intact on the navel. According to Rav, it is sufficient for there to be a Sela of skin anywhere, except for the hooves. According to Rebbi Yochanan, even if it is on the hooves, it is sufficient.
