SUMMARY

1. A person who observes one day of Yom Tov may not perform Melachah in a place where two days are observed.

2. Eretz Yisrael is divided into three regions, which are each comprised of three different lands.

3. Produce of the Shemitah year must be destroyed ("Bi'ur") when that particular fruit is no longer available to animals in the wild.

4. There is a dispute about what to do with Shemitah fruit that was taken out of Eretz Yisrael.

5. Rav Huna and Rachbah were both very exact in transmitting the lessons they were taught.

A BIT MORE

1. However, if he is in a desert area (or any place where there are no Jews), he may perform Melachah on the second day.

2. The three regions are Yehudah, Ever ha'Yarden, and Galil (the Galilee).

3. This is derived from the verse, "And to your domesticated and undomesticated animals that are in your land, all of your produce should be for you to be eaten." This verse teaches that when the undomesticated animals no longer have access to a certain fruit, domesticated animals (and people) may no longer eat it either (during Shemitah).

4. Tana Kama: When the time of Bi'ur for the fruit arrives, the Bi'ur may be done outside of Eretz Yisrael. Rebbi Shimon ben Elazar: The fruit must be returned to Eretz Yisrael for Bi'ur.

5. They would ask their teachers to repeat their teachings to ensure that they understood the exact sources of all the teachings.
