SUMMARY

1. If the Kivsei Atzeres were slaughtered with four breads, the Kohen must take two of the breads and perform Tenufah with them together with the Kevasim. The other two breads must be redeemed.

2. Rebbi maintains that Shechitah sanctifies two breads, and the other two breads must be redeemed inside the Azarah. According to Rebbi Elazar b'Rebbi Shimon, they must be redeemed outside the Azarah.

3. If a Korban Todah was slaughtered with eighty breads, according to Chizkiyah forty of the breads become sanctified. According to Rebbi Yochanan, none of the breads become sanctified unless the Kohen stated that forty out of the eighty should become sanctified.

4. If four Kivsei Atzeres were slaughtered with two breads, the first two Kevasim should be offered she'Lo Lishmah, and the last two Lishmah.

5. According to Rebbi Eliezer, if the limbs of a Chatas become mixed with the limbs of an Olah, all of the limbs must be placed on the Mizbe'ach. The limbs of the Chatas are regarded as wood. According to the Chachamim, all of the limbs must be taken out to be burned.

6. If the Kivsei Atzeres were slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah or slaughtered before or after Shavuos, the Zerikah may be done and the flesh may be eaten. If it was Shabbos when they were slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah or before or after Shavuos, the Zerikah may not be done.

7. If a jug of wine of Terumah broke and the wine is flowing out toward a storage pit of Tamei wine of Chulin, if one can save a Revi'is of the Terumah wine in a Tahor container, everyone agrees that he must do so.

8. If it is not possible to save at least a Revi'is of the Terumah wine in a Tahor container, one may not use a Tamei container to catch the Terumah wine in order to stop it from flowing into the pit and ruining the Chulin wine, according to Rebbi Eliezer. Rebbi Yehoshua disagrees.

9. Rav Yitzchak teaches a Beraisa which states that if the Kivsei Atzeres are slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah, they are Pasul.

10. Levi teaches a Beraisa which states that if a Shalmei Nazir is slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah, it is valid. It may be eaten for only one day and a night, and it does not require bread or a Zero'a Besheilah.

11. If a person is obligated to bring an animal within its first year as an Asham, and he brings instead an animal in its second year, or vice versa, his Korban is invalid.

12. An animal within its first year must be brought for an Olas Nazir, Olas Yoledes, and Olas Metzora. If an animal in its second year is brought, it is Pasul.

13. Levi states in the Beraisa that if an Asham Nazir or Asham Metzora is slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah, it is valid, but the owner does not fulfill his obligation. If the Asham Nazir or Asham Metzora was Mechusar Zeman, or it was in its second year, it is Pasul.

A BIT MORE

1. According to Rebbi, it is the act of Shechitah which sanctifies the breads of the Kivsei Atzeres. However, the Shechitah sanctifies only two breads, not four, and thus two only breads need to be redeemed. Since it is not known which two breads were sanctified, the Kohen takes the money for redemption and stipulates that whichever two breads were not sanctified shall be redeemed on this money. All four breads are then eaten in the Azarah in a state of Kedushah.

2. According to Rebbi, since the Shechitah sanctifies the breads, they must remain in the Azarah, because if they would be taken out of the Azarah they would become Pasul with Yotzei. Although only two of the breads are sanctified, all of the breads must remain in the Azarah since it is not known which two are the ones that are sanctified.

3. Forty breads are brought with a Todah. According to Rebbi Yochanan, if eighty breads are brought and the Kohen slaughters the Todah with no specific intent (Stam), the breads are not sanctified. Similarly, if four breads are brought with the Kivsei Atzeres, the breads are not sanctified unless the Kohen announces that two of the four breads will be sanctified.

4. If the first two Kevasim would be offered Lishmah, then the last two Kevasim would not be able to be offered at all, because only two Kivsei Atzeres are needed. Since the last two would not be able to be offered Lishmah, they also would not be able to be offered she'Lo Lishmah.

5. According to the Chachamim, the limbs of the Chatas may not be regarded as wood. It is forbidden to place limbs of a Chatas on the Mizbe'ach even in order to merit the Mitzvah of placing the limbs of an Olah on the Mizbe'ach.

6. Since the Kivsei Atzeres were slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah or on a day other than Shavuos, it is no longer considered a Korban Tzibur, and therefore the Zerikah may not be done on Shabbos. Nevertheless, if the Zerikah was done on Shabbos, b'Di'eved the Korban is valid and the Eimurim must be placed on the Mizbe'ach after Shabbos.

7. Everyone agrees that one must save a Revi'is of Terumah even though, in the time that it takes to procure a Tahor container, most of the Terumah wine will flow into the Tamei wine of Chulin, and all of the wine in the pit will have the status of Terumah Teme'ah and constitute a tremendous loss.

8. According to Rebbi Eliezer, it is forbidden to actively cause Terumah to become Tamei, even in the face of a tremendous loss, and even though it will become Tamei anyway when it flows into the storage pit of Tamei wine of Chulin. According to Rebbi Yehoshua, since the Terumah will soon become Tamei anyway, one is permitted to be Metamei the Terumah by catching in a Tamei container in order to prevent a huge loss.

9. According to Rav Yitzchak, the Kivsei Atzeres are compared to a Chatas. Just as a Chatas slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah is Pasul, Kivsei Atzeres slaughtered she'Lo Lishmah are Pasul.

10. According to Levi, a Shalmei Nazir is compared to a Shelamim which is valid she'Lo Lishmah, and it is not compared to a Chatas. Levi disagrees with Rav Yitzchak who compares the Kivsei Atzeres to a Chatas and says that it is Pasul she'Lo Lishmah. Levi argues that the Kivsei Atzeres, which have the status of a Shalmei Chovah, are compared to a Shalmei Nedavah, just as the Shalmei Chovah of a Nazir is compared to a Shalmei Nedavah.

11. A Nazir Tamei and a Metzora must bring a Keves within its first year as a Korban Asham. An Asham Gezeilos and Asham Me'ilos is comprised of an Ayil in its second year. If a Nazir Tamei or a Metzora brings an Ayil, or one brings a Keves for an Asham Gezeilos or Asham Me'ilos, it is Pasul.

12. A Keves is brought for an Olas Nazir, Olas Yoledes, and Olas Metzora. If an Ayil is brought, the Korban is valid, because the law of Olas Chovah is derived from the law of Olas Nedavah. If one makes a Neder to bring a Keves and he brings an Ayil instead, he fulfills his Neder.

13. A Nazir or Metzora may not bring an Asham until he has counted seven days. If he brings his Asham before that time, it is Mechusar Zeman and is Pasul.
