SUMMARY
1. The Gemara discusses which blessing one should recite first when he has two types of food in front of him. 2. There are circumstances in which an item can have "Mezonos" ingredients but the blessing is not "Borei Minei Mezonos." 3. There is a dispute about whether the blessing on pieces of bread precedes the blessing on a whole loaf. 4. If one has piece of bread from a load of wheat, and a whole loaf made of barley, he should recite the blessing on the piece. 5. One must recite "Hamotzi" over two loaves at the Shabbos meal.

A BIT MORE
1. For example, if one food has a more specific blessing (such as "Borei Pri ha'Adamah") than the other food (which is only a "Shehakol," for example), he should first recite the blessing on the food with the more specific blessing ("Borei Pri ha'Adamah"). If both items require the same blessing, one should recite the blessing on the food that he likes most. 2. For example, if wheat flour is used in a soup or dish as a thickener but not to add taste, the blessing is said on the main ingredient in the dish. 3. Rav Huna: One may recite the blessing on the pieces, and if the pieces are larger than the whole loaf (for example, it is a small roll), he must recite the blessing on the pieces. Rebbi Yochanan: It is a special Mitzvah to recite the blessing on the whole loaf, even if it is smaller than the pieces. 4. The blessing on wheat precedes the blessing on barley, because it is mentioned before barley in the verse, "Eretz Chitah u'Se'orah…." 5. This is based on the verse that states, with regard to the Manah that fell before Shabbos, "Lechem Mishneh."
