SUMMARY
1. Abaye and Rava both say that although a Korban Tzibur may be brought b'Tum'ah, it is permitted only with difficulty.
2. The Semichah on a Korban is always done immediately prior to the Shechitah, with the exception of the Semichah of a Metzora.
3. Rebbi Yosi ben Yehudah maintains that the Shechitah of Kodshei Kodashim must be done directly north of the Mizbe'ach.
4. Rav Yosef says that the Semichah on a Korban must be done with all of a person's strength.
5. Rav Ada bar Masnah says that a Metzora may not enter the Azarah to perform Semichah on his Asham because of the concern that he will take an extra step into the Azarah and be Chayav Kares.
6. According to the second version of Rav Ada Bar Masnah, a Metzora may not enter the Azarah to perform Semichah because the Semichah of an Asham Metzora is not Min ha'Torah.
7. Reish Lakish says that a Tamei who touches Kodesh is punished with Malkus. Rebbi Yochanan disagrees.

A BIT MORE
1. The Torah does not give a blanket allowance for a Korban Tzibur to be brought b'Tum'ah. If there are Kohanim who are Tahor, the Korban must be brought by them.
2. Since the Metzora may not enter the Azarah, his Korban Asham must be brought to him where he is standing at the gate of the Azarah. It is then brought into the Azarah for the Shechitah.
3. Therefore, a Metzora does not lean into the Azarah to perform Semichah on his Asham, because the Shechitah will not be done in the place of the Semichah. However, Rebbi maintains that Kodshei Kodashim may be slaughtered anywhere on the north side of the Azarah.
4. Therefore, a Metzora does not lean into the Azarah to perform Semichah on his Asham. He would have to lean into the Azarah with his head and most of his body, which is forbidden according to everyone.
5. Even though it is a Mitzvah Min ha'Torah to perform the Semichah immediately prior to the Shechitah, the Metzora performs the Semichah at the gate of the Azarah because of the concern that he will walk too far into the Azarah.
6. The Asham of a Metzora is an exception and does not require Semichah Min ha'Torah, because it is brought only for the purpose of purifying the Metzora. It is not brought for a sin.
7. Reish Lakish maintains that the verse, "A Tamei shall not touch any Kodesh," refers to Hekdesh. Rebbi Yochanan maintains that the verse refers to Terumah, not Hekdesh.
