A BIT MORE
1. One may not place his animal in seclusion with a Nochri because of the concern of Revi'ah. There is less of a concern for Revi'ah when one sells an animal to a Nochri, because the Nochri will not want to be a Rove'a an animal which belongs to him, as it causes the animal to become infertile. 2. It is forbidden to sell a large animal which is used for Melachah because of the concern that one will rent, lend, or give the animal to a Nochri to test it out and he will do Melachah with it on Shabbos. Since it still belongs to the Jew, the Jew is forbidden to allow the animal to do Melachah on Shabbos. 3. Even if he only called out to it, he transgresses the prohibition of Mechamer if it moves at the sound of his voice. 4. The house may be leased only for storage, not as a place of residence, because it remains in the possession of the Jewish owner and a Jew is forbidden to allow an Avodah Zarah to be brought into his house. 5. Since the animal remains in the possession of the Kohen, one is permitted to feed it Terumah. It is not regarded as Gezeilah even though the Yisrael does not own the Terumah, because if he wanted to give the Terumah to the Kohen who owns the animal he could do so. The Kohen would not mind if he feeds the Terumah to the animal, because he is likely feeding the animal generous portions since it is not costing him anything. The Kohen is happy that his animal is being fed Terumah since the Yisrael could just as well have given the Terumah to a different Kohen. 6. Since the animal remains in the possession of the Yisrael, he is forbidden to feed it Terumah. Only the animal of a Kohen may be fed Terumah. 7. Beis Shamai prohibits selling the cow because of the concern that he buyer will use it to plow on Shevi'is. Beis Hillel permits selling the cow because the buyer may intend to slaughter it and not use it for plowing. 8. Beis Shamai prohibits selling the field because of the concern that the buyer will work the field on Shevi'is. Beis Hillel permits selling the field because the buyer might intend to leave it unplanted until after Shevi'is. 9. Nochrim are suspected of murder, while Kusim are not suspected. 10. It is forbidden to sell weapons to Nochrim who are suspected of murder, or to Kusim who are suspected of selling the weapons to Nochrim.
