SUMMARY

A BIT MORE
1. Rebbi Akiva: The animals should be used to pay the workers who refurbish and repair the Beis ha'Mikdash. Ben Azai: The animals are used to pay the workers, and then are bought from the workers to be used as Korbanos.
2. Rebbi Eliezer: The male animals should be sold to be offered as Olos, and the females should be sold to be offered as Shelamim. All the proceeds should then be dedicated to Hekdesh. Rebbi Yehoshua: The animals themselves should be offered as Olos and Shelamim.
3. Rebbi Eliezer says that they should be sold for libations and bird offerings, with the proceeds being used to bring Olah offerings.
4. The working assumption is that Hekdesh means Hekdesh Bedek ha'Bayis, as opposed to Kodesh (funds specifically for buying Korbanos) or to the Kohanim.
5. This is derived from the verse, "... that will be brought for Hashem as an Olah," which implies that the proceeds from anything Bnei Yisrael dedicate that is fit for the Mizbe'ach should be used to buy a Korban Olah.
