FOOTNOTES:
==========
(1) Tosfos in our Sugya rejects the view of Rabeinu Tam based on the Beraisa
in Maseches Semachos. However, Tosfos in Yevamos (43b) resolves the opinion
of Rabeinu Tam, and the Shulchan Aruch (YD 392:3) rules that one may rely on
the opinion of Rabeinu Tam in circumstances of loss.
(2) See Moed Katan 23a and Tosfos there for the reason.
(3) Regarding attending the Simchah of the Nesu'in of someone else, Tosfos
raieses the possibility that it is permissible for an Avel to attend even
within 30 days.
