FOOTNOTES:
==========
(1) The Halachah follows this opinion.
(2) This is also called "Me'arvin b'Raglav," even though he is not standing there, since if he would run he would be able to be in that location by Bein ha'Shemashos.
(3) In general, the word "Ani," or poor person, is defined as someone who has no food available with which to make an Eruv, and "Ashir" is someone who has food with which to make an Eruv. More specifically, in our Sugya, "Ani" includes anyone who is away from home traveling, and "Ashir" includes anyone who is at home (since even though he is poor, he has received food from the communal charity for two Shabbos meals, with which he is able to make an Eruv).
