DAF DISCUSSIONS - KERISUS 10

allen schuldenfrei asks:

Hi,

I'm looking at the hebrew chart for krisus daf you. I think the middle chart middle line right-hand column seems incorrect.

If I understand the gemara correctly, it should read:

tvul yom IS c'zav (and that's why she can't eat on the 8th day at all) but mechusar kippurim is not c'zav.(and that's why she can eat on the night following the 40th day)

The Kollel replies:

1) Yes, I agree that there is something wrong with the chart.

2) The opinion that Tevul Yom is k'Zav does not appear on the chart, even though it does appear in the Gemara.

3) I think you are referring to the very middle box in the chart. This relates to the opinion that Tevul Yom of Zav is not k'Zav. After she has immersed on day 8 she may eat the Korban. However, the chart states that she may not, which I think is what you (correctly) write is incorrect about the chart.
